House Finch

I was outside early as I was unsure how long I would be able to stay out with the extreme heat back and back with a vengeance.

The heat index got up to 110°F but since I didn’t hesitate to increase the fan speed as the morning wore on, I was able to stay outside until about 2 pm.

I was really taken with how vivid the red is on this male House Finch.

Because Birgit has company at the moment, there was lunch with her today. I did have a real nice conversation with my aunt this morning and we got each other caught up on family stuff.
