A mostly gardening day

Having watered a neighbour’s garden last night, I realised that I would need to give it a good tidy up today.

They are away on holiday, not sure when they are due back. I didn’t take the message from the lady who was heading off with her family.

It’s a beautiful day, dry and very warm. I gave it a good prune, as they have lots of roses which were in desperate need. I watered about half of the plants and planned to do the rest in the evening, after Ambers late walk.

I spent the rest of the afternoon working on our garden and after dinner watched Gardener’s World on the TV. It was very informative and provided solutions to the problems that I’ve experienced recently.

It was about 9pm before we went out for our walk. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the neighbours had returned. I briefly spoke to the husband and collected my gear. The picture was taken in their garden, it looks good.
