Today's the day

Today's the day . . . . . . . . . to go to the show

An important reason for coming to this part of Wales, at this time of the year, was to take the family to the 57th Trap Agricultural Show.

Trap is the Carmarthenshire village where Will was at Primary school - and readers of this journal will know how the show, which was always a big event when he was a boy, continues to be an important part of life.  Ten years ago we were Presidents - and had lots of fun.  Today, we were just thrilled to have Rob, Anna and the girls to show it all to.

So, the above is Tessa, entering the 'Pet Dog' section in the category of 'Best Pet Dog, small, any breed'.  Of course,  Brodie their actual dog, is back home - so it was to the Show's credit that they allowed her to enter Curtis instead.  Curtis is the HPB stuffed dog that she has currently got on loan for the day.  And I'm pleased to tell you that Curtis was awarded two special rosettes by the end of the competition.

The extra is Josie, who completely amazed everyone with her skill and dexterity in knocking tennis balls off traffic cones - with a digger.  It was quite incredible  . . . . . . . . . !
