This is the first Gatekeeper Butterfly I've seen in the garden, it was very obliging having it's photo taken.    I first saw it on the Scabious and then it rested for a while on the Dianthus, making a lovely colour contrast.
Luna had Arthur and Poppy to play this morning, they stopped just long enough for a nice cooling slice of melon before haring off to play some more, hence she's been curled up snoozing for most of the afternoon.   
After a nice sunny morning it's been raining off and on since lunchtime, looks like we've had about 2mm so far.
It was good to see the Greater Spotted Woodpecker on the feeders earlier, he's been absent for several weeks.
