Greenwich wander
Busy day in the office today (Monday - backblipping again), with five meetings, including a team meeting and a mid-year appraisal with my colleague Joanna. It was also Joanna's 10 year anniversary at work, so we had cake in our team meeting, and presented her with a gift. I think she was pleased :)
I had decided to have a quiet evening, so didn't have any plans to meet up with anyone - but I was surprised to still have quite a bit of energy after work, so I dropped my laptop off in my hotel room, then headed straight back out and walked into Greenwich. (I did try to catch the DLR, only to discover that the stop I wanted - Cutty Sark - was closed until 2026.)
I had a lovely slow amble along the foreshore - mudlarking with my eyes only, as my permit ran out last year. Didn't spot much anyway - and just took photos of the couple of things I did see (an old roof tile with a square peg hole and an interesting terracotta something with ACME stamped into it).
Popped into M&S after that and picked up a bargainous dinner (a pasta salad and a supergreen salad - for a total of £2. I was so pleased with my haul I treated myself to a £3.20 chocolate bar too, lol). Walked back to my hotel, ate my dinner, chatted to Tim, and got to bed at a reasonable time.
