Birds not bugs

I wasn't anticipating new birds so I had my summer macro head on. And then I heard a different tune in the gorse. 

My app quickly ID's linnets and this fledgling popped up shortly afterwards. Never spotted them on the moors before so macro lens it is!

(Although now I’m thinking this is a juvenile stonechat!)

Had a lovely night out with friends last night - six of our for chats, nibbles, drinks and a game of Ticket To Ride Team Asia - great fun.

 Walked round and sauntered back up the hill at just gone midnight on a stunning still evening.
