A Prideful week: LIVERPOOL PRIDE (Saturday)

A few short weeks ago none of us were sure Liverpool Pride was going to happen.  Then the incredible Sahir stepped in and from nowhere and with only a crowd-funder behind them created a community focused, trans-led, family friendly Pride.

It was a beautiful day, and after a grey start even the sun came out. We shared ice cream, tears, hugs and a wonderful sense of chosen queer family, a true privilege to honour Folkie's memory while we marched (ambled) with MsMoss today.

Main and extras are some of our faves but of course there were SO many more!  A mix ofa the parade and then the community gathering in the M&S Arena - a great place to watch our favourite local dance group, the House of Suarez demonstrate their vogue skills - alongside the excellently named Pam Sandwich - another local drag queen get the crown going with some club classics.  An absolutely fabulous day.  Hopefully some of the photos capture the scale and vibe of the event.
