Saturday: Tomato Plants
Woke up feeling very under the weather, had a coffee and a couple of ginger biscuits and gradually felt better - I’ve had hay fever symptoms (claggy throat, sneezing and coughing) for a few days but it hasn’t got worse … or better … :-((
Temperature around 23°C by mid afternoon, we’d had a very short rain shower late morning, I was hoping it would continue but it didn’t - rain possibly over next few days!
My tomato plants have been neglected, I avoid going into the greenhouse when it’s windy (for obvious reasons) when it’s raining my compost is too wet outdoors but today we had perfect conditions :-))
Photos are just for my own records:
Top - “Gardeners Delight” and “Alicante” which have tiny flowers
Middle - “Tumbling Tom” which are short bush tomatoes
Bottom - 2 more “Alicante” and a Cucumber which has been attacked by slugs but is still alive …
MrD carried on with his fence for most of the day.
I potted on a few dozen Cabbage “April” seedlings - grown from seed and have been kept in clear plastic storage box with a lid, but some slugs managed to get at the seedlings to nibble them :-((
Tonight’s film was “Happy Gilmore 2” which was hilarious - https://m.imdb.com/title/tt31868189/ - it’s on Netflix :-)
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
