Deceased

Last night our fridge freezer died. Well I say died, but actually the freezer now behaves like a fridge, its ice in the ice-maker has melted, and nothing is frozen any more, but is still cold.
The fridge on the other hand, is now a freezer, and I’ve had to give the frozen lettuce and cucumbers to the chickens! I don’t know what I’m going to do with the frozen butternut squash!
So this morning we went out to buy a new one. In the first shop we found this one, which isn’t the fridge-freezer of my dreams, but will do. They can’t deliver until Aug 5th, so we said that was unacceptable and left.
In the second shop we found the exact same fridge-freezer, and they can’t deliver until Aug 6th, but this time we went for it as it was 350€ cheaper!
There just isn’t next-day delivery in France.
Meanwhile, our houseguests who have left the key to their topbox at home, asked a locksmith to come and drill out the lock. Which he did. They have got a relative to courier the key out to us, but as I say, there is no next day delivery in France, so after four days it still hasn’t arrived!
Oh, this is the freezer we’ve hopefully bought!
