The Birthday Girl

It was our dear friend Marianne’s 60th birthday party today. Mr P and I were invited to her daughter Anna’s house in Leadburn, to celebrate with her family and friends (including most of our Musselburgh chums). The fizz flowed freely, the paella was delicious and the birthday cake (made by her other daughter Caitlin) was a work of art. The sun shone on us all and I enjoyed lots of cuddles from Caitlin’s youngest. Wonderful day.
Home in the evening. Son no 1 and his partner have gone to Edinburgh for the weekend so just us and son no 3 tonight. We watched The Founder. Interesting film.
