Tired
That’s me at the moment (6.07 am) and I’ve definitely run out of stuff this morning. I’m on a 7am 7 pm medication schedule and usually take my booster dose around 6.45 am, so I’ve another half hour to go. I’ll come back to write this entry. In reality this should be my entry for today the 27th. I might move it later.
7.45am: We’ll I’m back, though I’ve just been playing with an idea linked to the wagonway journey taken by the washerwomen who lived in the locality. It’s taken me, via a Google search into French impressionist painting. The Paul Gauguin paintings are amazing and I love the colours BUT!!! I’m not looking for a literal depiction but a more atmospheric emotional response - a bit like I did for my ‘light and dark’ project about The Huskar Pit disaster.5
History in extra: two face masks on the line 2020 July 26. Ann was still alive and we were getting ready for our visit to Pam’s and the North York Moors.
Masks on the line it came up on my Apple Photos gallery as my picture of the day.
So what did I want to add about the 26th?
I had a quick visit to the fruit, veg, cakes, deli shop in Thurgoland and came back with bananas and a few treats in the morning. Bananas are kind of essential to my diet these days. I can’t believe how cheap they are compared to other things in my shopping basket and they come such a long way to us.
An afternoon nap after my lunch, which seemed very short and fleeting, and I then managed my short walk along Dance Lane. It felt as though I had much more energy than the day before. I cam across the very tired Meadow Brown, which showed no inclination to move on as it sat there and absorbed the heat of the road. I did see it fly to its resting place which helped me to clarify that the others I saw on the wing were also likely to be Meadow Browns and not Gatekeepers as I know there was a small colony of MB’s along here from my previous walks.
I’ve been recording on the Big Butterfly survey. Also seen two green-veined whites and between 4 and 6 small whites, which were constantly on the move.
We had a zoom meeting of our Creative Photo group and it was interesting to see what everyone had been doing. We all seem to have succumbed to various life changing ailments - the price of getting older. I tried to share something about my Dance Lane book, but I think my turn came too late for my brain as a bit of brain fog had set in for me and I kind-of wish I hadn’t done it at all instead of presenting it quite badly. At least my brain was able to cope with making my tea, which I was grateful for. We were a bit later finishing than I’d hoped for.
