Derelict mailbox

Well rested and recovered, I had an active at-home day and now I'm at the local with M. I took this photo on the way, having seen it many times before. 

Sika turned 11 months old today. So far we had kept her inside to protect her from her own youthful folly, and we'd decided at this age we could introduce her to the Great Outdoors (the back garden). She was totally blown out for the half hour or so she was out there while still exhibiting some healthy caution. This will be a gradual process and she'll never be out at night.
