It's been a while....

What a lovely day!  Long story short but when Aimee was first poorly,  a work colleague that she had become friendly with, put together a music playlist for her each week.  He would message and upload ten new tracks each week to Spotify.  She gave him a 'get out of jail' card on a number of occasions and he always demurred.  This carried on for two years resulting in almost 60 hours of the most ecclectic music and she would often put the playlist on while getting ready or showering, most of it was upbeat and cheerful. 

We met J at the funeral and I have emailed him a few times and a 'throw away' comment that if he ever fancied getting out of London and come to Kent for a day........came to actuality today.  What a delightful chap - we did a river walk, had lunch in the garden, 9 holes of golf at LC and finished off with a few drinks on Bearsted Green (gone down hill a bit since our last visit).......and he finally caught a train at 9.15.  Aimee would be smiling and sure to approve of us getting together.  

Funny how some people come into your lives via unusual routes and are real gems - but we are sure to see him again.
