An outing...

...on the South Tynedale Railway today...

Not steam, as the engine lost its brakes, but great fun nevertheless!

The train travels between Alston and Slaggyford, so it's at the end of a bike ride we've done in sections from Haltwhistle in previous years.

A scenic drive across to Alston, and a lovely little cafe for tea and cake when we arrived.
