Wildflowers in the rain …

… at RSPB Lochwinnoch this afternoon.

We woke up to rain this morning so decided to wait till this afternoon to go out. We went to Weaver’s Cottage at Kilbarchan, a small National Trust for Scotland property. Never  having been before, it was good to see and has a lovely little garden, (in extra). The weather started to close in again but we decided to go to RSPB Lochwinnoch for a walk. I don’t think we’ve been since May and we’re surprised that the visitor centre has closed and is currently replaced by a temporary structure with no views of the loch and a much smaller shop. There’s no mention of this on the website but we were told it had been publicised on Facebook. No matter we headed off for a walk but the rain came on quite heavily and there was little to see from either of the two hides so we left and headed home. It’s continued to rain since.
