It stayed at home

If there's one sport I really don't get, really don't like and have never, ever contemplated playing, it's football. I don't like the game, the hype, the hysteria, the tribal culture, the play acting, anything, mens or womens. Unfortunately I live in a football loving household so occasionally have to tolerate it. No. 2 was a volunteer at the last Euros and got us tickets to the final at wembley. This time she bought tickets, for all of us, for a local (and often televised) venue. I stuck it out for 90 minutes but that was enough. It's a bit of a standing joke that England only score (in any sport) when I'm not in the room so it turns out it was a good thing I left when I did!

It looks like it's stayed at home. Well done to the Lionesses.
