Oh dear

It was not a good UNO month for me. Margaret was victorious whilst I earned the loser’s wooden spoon.  Sandie is doing really well with the yearly total so we all have some catching up to do there.

There were some almighty downpours whilst we were playing. The rain was much needed but it meant everyone was having to do a mad dash to get to their cars without getting soaked. It made for some entertaining people watching as we played. We got soaked ourselves getting to our cars at the end as there was just no let up.  Later on it was a lovely day and still just as warm as ever.

We went out for lunch for a a little jaunt for everyone then at home Leo and Bobbie finished the mass cleanup of his bedroom.  Phew - Bobbie deserves a medal for that.

Leo and I settled in to watch the footie. Bobbie watched a few minutes but was clearly bored stiff so she soon opted for heading up to the now very tidy bedroom for a nap. Leo and I cheered England on even though Spain were looking very much the better side and scored first.  It ended on thrilling penalties with England emerging victorious.  Thank goodness that the women’s team don’t have the same track record with penalty shootouts as the men.  Back to back Women”s Euro Final wins is a pretty impressive achievement. Bobbie had made it back in time for the penalties after her forty winks and Ian joined us for the thrilling shootout too so we all got to see the celebrations.
