Wedding Eve Meal

Thank you for your kind words following my fall. I’m a little stiff and sore today, but nothing worse than that, thankfully.

A very lazy morning is definitely needed, with the latest breakfast possible.  I’m afraid I’m too tired to do anything other than just rest until we head over to Simon and Lloyd’s in Archway where we spend some time in their flat before going for a pre-wedding meal in The Great Indian - a superb gastropub just down the road.

We have a wonderful evening with the grooms and Lloyd’s parents, Linda and Mark, who we meet for the first time - despite the length of their relationship. The food is - as expected - excellent, a far cry from the average local Indian restaurant.   Strangely it’s Mark and Linda’s wedding anniversary today, and ours on Tuesday, so we all have consecutive celebrations. Were brought a small chocolate dessert with a candle to celebrate ‘the anniversary’, and when the staff realise the situation, another is quickly brought over.

It’s back to the flat, pausing for G and Simon to try out a Lime Bike - both amazed by the speed and power! All legitimate, paid for by Lloyd!

Both sets of parents eventually head back to Archway where we catch (literally running for the bus - a very risky move on my part) and we crawl into bed just after midnight.
