Where were you on this day in 1990?

Well, I know where I was.  I was taking a hot air balloon ride over the Severn River on the border for Wales!  They gave us this certificate at the conclusion.  The captain took my picture releasing the flame to keep us on a steady course.  We all had a hand doing it.  It was an amazing experience, even the somewhat crash landing in a cow pasture at the end.  It was worth it as we had a champagne toast to our safe landing. (extra) I was staying at Thornbury Castle near Bristol, England.  I've added a picture of the hotel and my bedroom, the Duke's Bedchamber.  It didn't look like that 35 years ago, several updates since then of course.  The room was in one of turrets and accessed by a stone circular staircase!  The company, Bristol Balloons, ceased operations in 2021 but I was able to find a photo of the basket we rode in on-line, in the extras.  Great memories.
