I WANT TO BE ROBBIE'S GIRL........

Such a lovely day today but my bad back has come back unfortunately, but not as bad as before so perhaps whatever it is, is just taking a long time to mend!!!

When I got up at 7.45 we had a very sharp heavy downpour - aaah no, but it didn't last too long. 

Today I was meeting up with my lovely friend and fellow Blipper CumbriaLass and Robbie.  I checked via Google Maps this morning, which showed that traffic at certain points on the A590 were slower than I usual so I left just 15 minutes earlier to allow for that.  As it turns out I sailed through.  The only wait was on Abbey Road, just in front of the Abbey House Hotel due to long standing roadworks.  So traffic lights for 3 way traffic, but I only had to wait for the lights so that was fine.

 It was quite windy at Abbey House but down by the Abbey itself it wasn't at  all and was rather warm.

CumbriaLass, with Robbie arrived and after greetings and hugs and licks from a certain Robbie we went for a lovely walk.  Through the grounds of Abbey House, down past the Furness Abbey and up through Abbott Woods.  It was a really lovely walk going up, for me, some quite steep steps, but little Robbie managed it brilliantly so of course I could too.

After our walk, Robbie sniffing and investigating everything, a few barks at other dogs, not aggressive barks, and a few greetings from other dog  walkers we had lunch in the conservatory section of the Abbey House Hotel.  Which was very nice.  It got rather warm in there, but they opened up a section of the roof so a nice breeze then ensued.  It was a lovely lunch and iced drinks and further chatting.  Robbie was soooo good and helped me eat my cheesy, toasted ciabatta - that was so kind of him  wasn't it.

I actually didn't take too many photos today, several of Robbie of course, and just a handful of other things we saw en route it was just enjoying great company and good chat, so I just forgot to take as many photos as I have before.
