Reconnecting.

Cailean (along with our two dogs) joined us all for dinner last night and stayed the night.    This  morning the American visitors left early for Glasgow Airport for a flight to Rome via Frankfurt.  Tomorrow they will join a cruise ship for an eight day voyage that take-in Croatia as well as Naples.

Despite the rather damp weather - the Mediterranean will be much warmer and drier I am sure - the last few days have been a great experience ,  made all the more interesting by staying  together in a lovely shared space down south of Straiton - part of the Balbeg Country Estate.  

We drove home slightly later , very glad that the venture had gone so well and keen to meet up again.    

It has taken more than a century for these two parts of the Russell family to get back together, but it worked and I hope will go on working.
