At last!
A butterfly on my buddleia! I have waited so long to see butterflies in my garden! It’s interesting how the brownish butterfly colour is camouflaged with the brownish colours of the dead flower bits of the buddleia. It’s not a very good photo because I was some distance away. I don’t know the name of this butterfly.
I also saw a red admiral but it glitter by too quickly for me to photograph it.
I overheard a strange conversation in my GP surgery waiting room today . ( A while back I had a dodgy looking infection on my toe which I felt needed to be seen. I phoned the doctors but they said they would text me with a special link to which I could add and send a photo. I did that and got an immediate call back and a prescription for antibiotics). Today in the surgery, at Reception, a lady wanted to see a doctor because she had something infected on her skin. There were no appointments available, and she was told she would be sent a link to add a photo and send it in. She was not tech-savvy and said she didn’t know how to do it. So the Receptionist got her phone, took the photo, arranged for the text with the link to be sent to the lady’s phone, and then despatched the photo. The lady was told to go home and wait for a callback. I was amazed and thought ‘but isn’t there a doctor in the house?’. Surely that patient should have just been able to see a doctor there and then?
