Best foot forward
Since the days when I used to come here with three kids to manage they’ve introduced a shoeless rule in the changing rooms, which I’m all in favour of. If only everyone would do it. Most folk see the sense in it though and leave their outside shoes on the benches in the corridor.
I was there to grind my way through 56 lengths. I’d probably have done 60 but it was getting a bit competitive in the roped off swimming lane and the rest of the pool was full of kids enjoying the summer holidays. Anyhow, there’s no rush. Plodding is fine.
Earlier, I’d dropped Hannah off at the bus stop so they can head off to the next adventure.
Later, Mrs Smith and I took the wee man for a wander. During which, Joe sent me a photo of himself on a Sri Lankan mountainside as the sun rose this morning.
This evening, Osh is rustling up pancakes by way of distraction as most evenings she’s been creating and making things with Hannah.
