Scandi Coffee & Wild Swimming dreams

Mondays have gone back to the usual routine of taking my Auntie to visit my Uncle at his dementia care home. Paul skipped off to work this morning and didn’t get back until nearly six — he had a brilliant first day.

I parked up and walked through the docks, then up through town to the jeweller’s, which turned out to be closed. Plan B was shut too... but thankfully the trip wasn’t a complete waste — my favourite Scandi coffee shop was open. I sat outside with my coffee, watching the world go by and listening to my new Audible book, about a women’s wild swimming group set in the Lake District. I’ve now found myself Googling local groups to join when I’m up there in September. I’m really missing my cold plunges — it’s still too warm to get it set up again.
