Going Potty

Andy was out practicing golf this morning so I walked Merlin. We had a relaxing wander in the field and Merlin enjoyed paddling in some very smelly water. Delightful!

After lunch I popped to the allotment to plant out leek seedlings, and young kale and red cabbage plants. The latter involved constructing a makeshift cage to try to prevent the many creatures that enjoy eating brassicas from devouring their tender young leaves. Since yesterday many more raspberries had ripened so I returned home with a punnet to put in the freezer for safe keeping. It’s such a treat to have raspberries in the depths of winter.

My blip shows a collection of pots on the wall of a cottage garden in the centre of the village. I liked the eclectic mix of pots and plants.
