Sultry summer

a day working from home and being alone with the dog.  I largely missed the Monday meeting because I went to the osteopath and had the stiffness in my back sorted out.  
Long meeting on ep 4 with Amit, who wanted to talk through every beat.  We’re getting too bogged down in this. 

Walked the dog properly mid afternoon, it was sultry and still and I kept saying ‘high summer ‘ to myself as I walked past ripe corn and high willow herbs.  I was listening to the Rest is History podcast on Mary Queen of Scots, laughing at how much I remembered of the characters and detail from childhood reading of Jean Plaidy.  And Antonia Fraser’s biography.

Then I finished the novel of the writer I’m meeting tomorrow, had a long talk with someone in the US I’ve been trying to talk to for ages. V called from Baku, sounding well and giving me more detail of his weekend. He is keen I go there!  I watched two eps, one of a relevant show to the one we’re making which was poor and ep 1 of the new series of The Gold which was pointless. I seem to have been locked of Apple TV which often happens when V takes over accounts!
