The trouble with familial techy geekery...

...is that you end up with far too many leads!

It's a long time since I had a good sort-out of the very many leads which I've accumulated over the years, some of which probably date back to my student days (a looong time ago!). There's always a temptation to shove them in a box in the attic with the intention to sort them "sometime". And then when my lovely Dad died almost 3 years ago I inherited all of his leads too: the geeky hoarding tendency is familial!

So this week I decided I had to "bite the bullet" and deal with them so here they are laid out on our dining room table. Several of them are obsolete (eg old parallel printer leads) so they can certainly go as my last such printer went to the tip a good while back.  Naturally I'll keep a few of each of the types I'm likely still to use, but many duplicates will have to go - either to a good home or to the tip.

Of course there's always the risk certainty that a couple of days after I've disposed of one, I'll suddenly decide that I need it... ;-))
