Pulkkilanharju

Today we went cycling to Pulkkilanharju in Asikkala. We unloaded the bicycles from the car at the Asikkala church.

After the 30km route we drove to the Kalmari beach to have a swim. What a stunning beach it was. And the water was so nice after the cycling.

City of Lahti is also located by Vesijärvi. It’s quite big lake. It took us about 40 minutes to drive to Vääksy. 

Then we went to the visit 2 exhibitions. One was fashion and the other had multiple collections, but I manly wanted to see the instruments made by a Finnish musician. He had made an instrument out of vacuum cleaner for example and it’s been placed on a record. The exhibition was called “Wormholes and Lightphones”. 

After that my husband wanted to visit a local brewery and bought some souvenirs of the drinking kind there. 

On our way home we stopped by for a late lunch. We were both hungry like the wolves. 

Buddha was very happy to see us after about 6 hours. 

This day was my wish for my birthday. It’n not the day until last of July, but we needed to go by the weather. Today was overcast and not that hot. Tomorrow will be much hotter with possible thunderstorms as goes the rest of the week. 

It was a great day!
