It Was 50 Years Ago Today...........

To paraphrase Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, it was 50 years ago today that I left home as a pimply 18 year old ex-schoolboy and joined the RAF.  For the first couple of weeks of basic training I wondered what I had done but the following 31 years were brilliant. 
This was my RAF cap when I finally retired in September 2006 and I can honestly say I never regretted a moment.
