Lilies

I thought I'd blip these today.  Hopefully they will survive until 'Flower Friday' but I may not be around to take a shot of them.

All the lilies are now in full bloom.  I think you can count eight in this shot but there are a further two behind facing the other way; by far the best show I've had from them since they went in three or four years ago.  They must thrive on neglect as I don't seem to do very much to look after them!

In other news, anyone who saw my blip on Sunday will know I was a bit concerned that the phormium root ball that I had dug out was so heavy that the bin men wouldn't take it.  It was too heavy to lift, so I had to put the brown bin down on its side and roll the root ball in!  The bin was due to be emptied this morning and I am pleased to report that I now have an empty bin.
