Construction Zone blip 2

number 2 in a series.

Look for number 3 in several weeks once the internal walls dry out...

A few weeks ago the good Dr. P asked me about a spot on the ceiling downstairs. 

"Perhaps a residual from when the washing machine self destructed upstairs" I retouted.

Fast forward to this weekend:

Big A: "that's quite a spot on your ceiling, Dad"...

"Mmmmmm" I self explored.

"F'(rick)in' hell, the ceiling is wet" I replied following investigation.

Some exploratory holes (with the hole saw on the cordless drill) later

and there is a 2 x 3 foot hole in the kitchen ceiling,
And a big deconstruction behind the upstairs washing machine.

My dying last words will be "Don't put a washing machine upstairs, and never buy Samsung".

Anyway after cutting and sweating a pair of copper pipes in order to replace two leaking water supply valves we are back in shipshape, washing machine functioning and supply lines not leaking into the wall. 

Final repairs will occur in a few weeks "once the innards are all dried out"
