Along the Line
The old railway line to Fraserburgh- a victim of Dr Beeching's axe -now an attractive long distance walk. On this section the embankment is covered in purple rosebay willow herb and creamy meadow sweet. Here and there are the bright orange flowers of fox-and-cubs and in damp places the pale wispy flowers of enchanters' nightshade.
The tree on the left is an oak, densely covered in embryonic acorns (extra)
