Findlater's Castle
The cliff on the right in this photo is the site for this castle. I found it in 1997 when I was on my last Tornado course, based at RAF Lossiemouth to the west, and I brought my two young sons here during a lull in my training.
It feels really interesting to be on top of such a building over 500 years after it was built; 28 years after we first climbed along the cliff to stand on the top, it was a little more difficult, but still fun.
And the sea around the promontory was clear and beautiful (Extra).
Our caravan site is on the west of RAF Lossiemouth, roads around which have been closed for hours at a time while a blue 747 with an orange passenger visit the UK, at the expense of US and UK taxpayers, so that he can open another golf course. When finally the blue 747 climbed out from Lossiemouth this afternoon, there were many Scottish campers watching in relief, glad to get rid of the orange one. There was almost palpable relief that he had gone.
