A 'B' day

I was hoping for butterflies today, but had to settle for bees. There were bees on the hydrangeas, bees on the echinacea and bees on the swamp milkweed. Tonight there were bees on my veronicastrum.

Sunday morning there was a hummingbird around the flowers on my deck, but that is the only time I have seen her. Next year I plan to have lots of monarda, so that should attract them to the yard.

TWN has rain in the forecast for Thursday night until Saturday morning. The forecast on my phone is not showing any rain. It did have showers on Thursday night into Friday morning. We really need the rain, but I suspect it will hit eastern NS instead of here. Will have to see if TWN changes their forecast in the morning.
