Inukshuk...
These rock sculptures are found throughout the Arctic and also in various other area such as Manitoba. The term 'Inukshuk' means "in the likeness of a human being". They are often made to resemble human figures and may have several purposes. They may mark trails, alert people to food, shelter or other resources. They may also have Spiritual significance and may play a role in ceremonies and rituals. This large Inukshuk was built in a place of honor on a beach in Churchill
We are heading back home today. So much to see, experience and learn here in Churchill.
