Common Skinks

These small critters amaze me. I’m sure there are some in Christchurch , but not in my garden. My daughter has several groups living under her patio , ( it’s a lot warmer in Auckland ).This morning we had some lovely warm sunshine. Yesterday was very windy and torrential rain. I sat outside for a while and noticed these little fellows sunning themselves in some leaves. They were lovely.
