What are these?

I was running a training session in the Law Library and spotted these outside the window.  I was thinking they looked like sea related items but they are actually magnified pollen sculptures- see info in extra.

I got all hot and bothered setting the session up as it involved dragging loads of resources off the shelves. I need to remember not to wear black when doing that as I ended up covered in dust from some of the really early law reports we used in the session.
