Just an

……………………………………….old post and a young man.

Went adventuring with MC and the wee one earlier today…we parked at the top of town and walked down to the river where we sat and had a picnic in peace and quiet - well as much as a five year old lets you have! A nice ramble through the woods and along the old road network (pre by-pass days) made a circular route back to the car. I think it was only about 1.5 miles but enough for little legs. 

The rest of the afternoon was spent in the garden…I’d liked to have said relaxing but that wasn’t the case! Sorted a few weeds starting to make an appearance on the front drive and swept up again…the seagulls are moulting and there’s a right mess. Managed to pot up Mondays purchases…a dozen trailing geraniums and half a dozen dianthus, mostly into wall pots so my fences should look very colourful in the near future. A sweep up, got rid of the rubbish and moved everything to the empty sandpit that was messing the place up. The furniture is now accessible again and just needs washed down ready for the weekend when the kids will be round for my birthday…hopefully in sunshine.
