It's all about the coffee . . .

It was 40 degrees in Coimbra today.  Wise people stay out of the noon-day sun, but I ventured out in search of a good coffee.

Quickly thought I was completely nuts, but persevered.  I was in search of a café I'd read about - and found it quite quickly just a short walk off the main street of the historic town.  The access route was mainly tiny narrow streets so I had some shade.

When the lovely barrista delivered this coffee to me, I could have kissed him, but didn't !!

The salad I ordered from the lunch menu was simple and perfect (gorgonzola, pear, prosciutto, toasted almonds, olive oil, salad greens).

On the way back to my accommodation my phone came up with a message that said it was over-heated - so my phone and I both enjoyed an afternoon siesta.
