This is the day

Brazen

This young fox spends quite a lot of time snoozing at various spots in our garden, seeminly unperturbed by the presence of humans.

He often sleeps on gaps in the flower beds, where the colour of his coat stands out quite well against the brown earth. Today, though, he’s fairly well camouflaged because he’s chosen the lawn for his bedding. The drought conditions have left it looking like straw, although a bit of recent moderate rainfall has helped green it up considerably in some parts.

You can maybe make out some of the dozens of recently-fallen acorns around him which are creating a hazard for the lawnmower.
