Spotted

I was very chuffed today down in the forest to suddenly spy on one of the ponds quite an aerial display; tiny birds flying in over the water catching flies and insects.

Having a couple of years ago seen the spotted flycatcher in this area I just knew although it was a different pond it was the flycatcher brood hunting. 

The Extra shows the distance and I hadn't got a tripod. 

The 2nd Extra is the shot I never got but so wish I had as you can see the fly. It was so very quick and I just wasn't able to get close enough.
