Just testing

I put the new little squares on the shelf next to the vase to determine the best sequence (and also because it's out of range of a certain small cat, who in the space of a few days has broken two bowls and a mug). They are so lovely.

A nice swim this morning -- there was a horde of kids when I arrived, but they all got out within about ten minutes. At home I trawled through a bunch of files trying and failing to find a document needed for the sale of our office in Lézignan. Pity they waited till now to tell us they needed it as we're supposed to be completing on Monday. Our fallback position is that it's in the files that we gave to the notaire months ago, and which they promptly lost -- they still haven't found them. Alternatively, pinning our hopes on the mairie having a copy. As S says, it doesn't matter how carefully you try to stick to the rules of bureaucracy -- something will always turn up to catch you out.
