Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A busy day! Archie and went round to the Links to meet John and Amanda - and they tricked us by coming a different way! They set off for a long walk, up Blackford Hill and round and about.

We both fiddled around at home, awaiting the arrival of Vicki about midday. I sorted out a couple of things with the cruise (eg taxi pick up was at midday, but we couldn't board until 3pm.) also, I checked in for the flights. Also sorted out a newspaper subscription. We sat out in the sun to await Vicki's arrival, and we could hear her suitcase wheels rattling along before we saw her. She'd come by train from York today, having been all over Europe in various pet sitting stints.

When Archie and his pals came home, Archie didn’t bark on meeting a new person in the house! We sat out the back, but it had turned cooler by then, so we came inside. Vicki will meet up with them next week in the Links. Once they had gone, Hazel popped over to meet Vicki and offer her help if needed. Though NOT dog walking... But she had lots of advice about Fringe Shows.

The Aussies have arrived from Stockholm and have a pad overlooking the Castle, which almost made up for having to carry suitcases up three flights of stairs.

An early night for the traveller, and more fun tomorrow.

Today's photo is by Amanda. It's one I've always wanted to get, but I'm never ready for it. Well done Amanda!
