Make It Happen
Arlo's afternoon walk was back to Edgelaw and surprisingly, the scum patterns in the river flowing into the reservoir were gone from last week... I wonder if recent rain pushed them through.
Ms H was flying home from her holiday week in Majorca and she timed the flight in order to join us at the theatre... but no... a 90 minute delay due to air traffic control issues in England meant she wouldn't arrive into town. So we were having to decide what to do on our drive into town, with the plan to leave the car somewhere for her, she drives home, then picks us up from the train later. Then I thought maybe she could make the intermission... she landed just before the show started and confirmed she was happy to join us and there she was arriving 10 mins before when we went down to see her, phew... she got a catch up of the story in the intermission.
We went to see Make It Happen, a satire of Fred "The Shred" Goodwin's role in bringing the Royal Bank of Scotland and country to its knees, with Brian Cox playing the ghost of Adam Smith. We really enjoyed it, often funny, particularly Brian Cox, and quite scathing on how Fred operated. The events are quite close to home and had so many impacts on the years to come, yet nobody was ever charged with any crimes... huh?
