Guess who?
We saw a great exhibit at the Getty today, “Queer Lens: A History of Photography,” about how photography has shaped the image of the LGBTQ+ community. “The term “queer” is not used in a derogatory manner, but as a word of inclusivity and empowerment. It is used with intentionality, awareness, and respect.” These lines appear on the information panels that accompany the exhibit. We saw a gallery of beautiful celebrity portraits, including the one that appears on my blip.
I know, it’s a photograph of a photograph, and I’m sorry for that, but I thought it was so great that I had to post it.
