Sloes

I went for a quick potter down  Butchers lake yesterday afternoon.  Not a lot of bird action but saw several trees with masses of sloes ready for picking.  They are not a fruit that l use (not being a gin drinker) but they did look good and l am sure they will all disappear soon.  There were lots of ripe blackberries which tasted wonderful, l will have to get out to pick some of those over the next week.
As l sit in bed entering this it has started to rain, l am driving down to Deal this morning so hope it clears shortly.
