Rose chafer and artichoke

The colours go together well:) I was working on my allotment most of the afternoon, and spotted this brilliant green jewel on the next plot.  It was there for over an hour, so I guess it was eating the flower. 
I was weeding, and making a new bed. Despite recent rain, the soil was back to being dust.  It had all evaporated….
Listened to another book today - A Spool of Blue Thread by Ann Tyler - which I loved. And I cleaned the fridge, such excitement!
