“ The Last of the Stragglers”

These sculptures are in Blenheim’s Market Place Forum and depicts a shepherd with his sheep and his dog commemorating Marlborough’s Agricultural Heritage. Made of copper, the sculptures were created by Havelock artist, Tony Sharp. They are beautiful. The dog, a Border Collie, reminds me of my Ruby. The sculptures are a popular attraction in the town centre.
We had very heavy rain over night and Doctors Creek and the Taylor River were starting to flood again. Ruby and I had to make some detours during our early walk this morning. I took her for another walk off leash at lunchtime. She interacted really well with six other dogs of different breeds and came back to me when called. I was very proud of her.
