En-plenair at Purleigh

5 am Basin bob opportunity,  which I jumped at. A perfect, calm swim towards the east against the tide and a float back. Set us up for the day!

Then a bike ride to Purleigh  ... disaster ... my gears have been playing up  ... now I know why. Fambridge Road out of town and the chain broke. Too much traffic to try to fix, instead, walked to a pull-in before investigating. Temporary repair and cycle home. Then stored my bike away, jumped in car and head off back to Purleigh. Relax ... painting gear out ... and ready to give the en-plenair a go. It was, surprisingly relaxing,  just what I needed. 

We popped into the Bell for a fish finger sandwich before heading for a second double dip of the week ... perfect. Chat about our other halfes put the world to rights. Then home. G went off to the pictures so a relaxing evening.
