We apologise for poor reception

Reidhaven Square in the shire has many fine architectural gems ranging from simple old cottages to the local hall where the Silver Beetles played in the 1960’s. This is one several Keith churches but if you search for a Keith church on the net today you are likely to either find links to folk by the name of Keith Church or an ongoing BBC story about Cardinal Keith O'Brien and how he blocked a report into sex abuse in the RC church.
No matter! Keith in Moray has claim to several very famous citizens. James Gordon Bennett Senior the founder and publisher of the New York Herald, Colin Hendry the footballer and George Foulkes Member of the Scottish Parliament number but a few.
Saint John Ogilvie, the post-Reformation saint was born here and famously suffered an unpleasant martyrdom at Glasgow Cross in 1615. The St Thomas Catholic Church pictured here has a fine statue of the man on the left of the front door.
St Thomas is depicted on the right. Both statues were made by Father Basil Robinson of Pluscarden Abbey near Elgin.
A local history website provides advises that the dome, made of copper topped with a cross, gives rise to indifferent TV reception in the immediate area.
